Recipe: Brussels Sprouts with Shallots and Orange

A Thanksgiving Holiday favorite side dish recipe, roasted Brussels sprouts with shallots and orange.

This is the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving feast! Light and healthy side dish that’s full of flavor. And it’s gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan so all of your guests can enjoy!

Brussels Sprouts with Shallots and Orange
Yields: 6 servings

  • 1-1/3LB Brussels sprouts
  • 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 
  • 2 Tablespoons thin sliced shallots 
  • ½ orange (juice and rind)

Method of Preparation
STEP 1: 
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. 

STEP 2: Trim end of of sprout, remove discolored leaves, cut in half, lengthwise, and wash. 

STEP 3: Add sliced shallots.

STEP 4: Squeeze juice from half of orange. Cut the piece of orange in half and slice thin.

STEP 5: In large bowl, toss all ingredients until well coated. Add ingredients to roasting pan and cook until tender, approximately 25-30 minutes. Enjoy!
